To Mr. Sharping and Mr. Fisher,
I suspect (this is my opinion) you get a perverted kind of pleasure from criticizing the Jewish leader Gregor Gysi. But, if you feel you need to "educate" this Jew, Gregor Gysi, on the subject of Genocide and Deportation, you'll have a hard row to hoe, in Israel and in the rest of the world. And, if you're accusations have the slightest tint of typical German anti-Semitism in them (that I can prove), you'll be sorry you ever heard my name. You Herr Fischer feel you have the right to claim Gysi is washing fascism clean, "Wei‹wõscher f³r die Politik eines neuen Faschismus" and the right to belittle him and scold him for his claim that the "Vertreibung" is being made worse through the NATO bombings. Read your own newspapers and listen to your constituents and you will know (as I know you know) THAT MANY MANY fine and decent and intelligent people FORM ACROSS THE POLITICAL SPECTRUM agree with the PDS leader! And if Gysi thinks by visiting the dictator Mr. Milosevic he may be able to prevent further suffering, WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO CLAM THAT HE IS SUPPORTING FASCISM, MR. FISHER? (And read your German history a DEPORTATION is not a "Vertriebung" and the word, GENOCIDE is also a term you Germans should either use to describe, as well, the killings in Kurdistan, in Columbia, in East Timor in the Congo etc. etc., or keep it to describe the unique dimensions that describes THE HISTORY OF JEWISH SUFFERING BY THE HANDS OF YOUR FATHERS AND MOTHERS!)
Theo Waigel compared Gysi to Joseph G÷bbels and to Gerhard Fry. I've already told the world THIS MAN HAS LOST THE RIGHT TO LOOK A JEW IN THE EYES. Mr. Sharping/Mr. Fisher, I'm keeping an eye on you! And I can e-mail hundreds and hundreds of people, heads of states, University Professors, Captains of Industry, and Jewish groups all over the world within a couple of hours. I'M ASKING YOU, I'M YELLING IT INTO YOUR EARS. DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO LECTURE GREGOR GYSI, A JEW, WHO LOST EIGHTEEN OF HIS REALATIVE FROM THE NAZIS ON THE SUBJECT OF GENOCIDE AND DEPORTATION!!!?
You Herr Fischer, feel you have the right define the word DEPORTATION to Gysi, (as opposed to the world "VERTREIBUNG") all a can say is, I wish your forefathers had "Vertrieben" the Jews from Germany RATHER THEN DEPORTED THEM TO AUSCHWITZ. Think about it Herr Fischer, I Beg you on my hands and knees, to think about it Herr Fischer. IF Most of them were "Vertrieben" at least they would still have been alive! Many of them no doubt would have ended up in the United States where they, no doubt, would always be better off than in Germany!
I am addressing this to both of you. IM BEGGING YOU ON MY HANDS AND KNEES. DON'T EVER, EVER TREAT GYSI AGAIN THE WAY YOU HAVE DONE TODAY IN THIS GERMAN PARLIAMENT. Because IF you do I, as a citizen of Germany and Northamerica, will dedicate my life to traveling the entire world, to tell the people of the world: Whenever the Germans ask how long must they carry around the unbearable weight of Auschwitz, say to them: AS LONG AS THE GERMANS TRY TO "R E L A T I V I Z E" THE HOLOCAUST -- SIX MILLION YEARS -- ONE YEAR PER JEW!
I'm warning you one more time. DON'T EVER EVER TREAT GYSI THIS WAY AGAIN. Particularly, BECAUSE HE IS A JEW WHO'S RELATIVES SUFFERED FROM YOUR FOREFATHERS. And, BECAUSE he as a German citizen that has the right to express his opinions towards Yugoslavia in a German parliament, even if you don't agree with it. In the USA, where I grew up, you don't treat Jews this way. If only because there there is a strong Jewish lobby. And why is there no strong Jewish lobby in Germany? Think about it Herr Fisher!!
AND ONE MORE TIME, (since apparently the Americans were not able to teach you Germans the rules of a democracy). In a democratic society a person has the right to express his opinion. Even if the opinion is unpopular. In the case of whether or not the NATO bombings have made the suffering worse than they were before the bombings, Mr. Gysi does not stand alone! Again. Read your newspapers!
And for you Mr. Sharping, Jews have eaten enough "grass" from your forefathers. Mr. Gysi is not blind to the suffering in Kosovo. I'm saying it to you one more time Mr. Sharping, DON'T EVER EVER TREAT HIM THIS WAY AGAIN!! The arrogant Germans aren't alone in this world. And no amount of calling people like Melocevic or Sadam Hussein Hitler is going to "relativiz" your past (your guilt is of a dimension all of it's own). And I as a "Doppelstaatler" will make sure the world never forgets German arrogance!
I've already send a copy of this letter to several Jewish groups in America and in Israel. DON'T MAKE IT MY LIFE WORK HAVING TO SEND THESE KINDS OF LETTERS AROUND THE WORLD. Your "Auftritt im Bundestag" makes me ashamed to be a German.
